This class is the introductory level class for students who are entering Xaverian’s 业务 & 经济学途径. 商业组织与社会 is a one-year course that includes a critical study of how individuals and groups interact in a dynamic business environment. This course is designed to give students an understanding of business principles, 实践, 和技能. Emphasis is placed on understanding technical innovation and day-to-day business functions of marketing, 人力资源管理, 和金融. Students are expected to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of business terminology, 概念, 和原则, identify social and cultural factors and ethical considerations in the actions of organizations, and assess the impact of the actions of organizations on internal and external environments. -

在本课程中, students will be given a thorough understanding of the principles of economics that apply to the functions of individual decision-makers, 消费者和生产者, 在经济体系内. It places primary emphasis on the nature and functions of product markets and includes the study of factor markets and of the role of government in promoting greater efficiency and equity in the economy. Syracuse University Introduction to Financial Accounting
This course introduces the student to financial accounting 概念 that aid entrepreneurs, 经理, 投资者, 债权人的计划, 操作, 分析一个企业. Emphasis in this course is on the interpretation of financial statements.In addition to the use of a traditional textbook, 讲座, 小测验, 通过考试来传授基本的会计技能, students are required to complete a comprehensive project that demonstrates their ability to analyze the financial statements of publicly traded companies and make an informed investment decision based on the analysis.

This course explores a basic and logical approach to the logic and techniques used in establishing a modern accounting system. Beginning with fundamental equation of assets, 负债, 资本价值, the student will learn to use the double-entry bookkeeping methods to record business transactions. The process will involve an introduction to and use of general ledger, general journal as well as the preparation of accounting worksheets - each a means by which the financial performance of a business organization is maintained and evaluated. Also included will be the study and preparation of basic financial statements, 损益表, 还有资产负债表. The application of basic techniques will enable the student to develop the trial balance and close the ledger accounts of a typical business. These techniques will be applied to both a trading and service business with the appropriate modifications as they are required in the application of the accounting system. Computer simulations will be used throughout the course to expose students to modern techniques in the field. -

This course is designed to identify and describe the unique characteristics and dimensions of sports. Students will examine some of the major problems/issues facing sports 经理. 同时, they will develop a knowledge and understanding of what is involved in the management of sports. Students will learn how to apply the foundation 和原则 of sports management to various aspects of the sports industry. Students will also learn how to understand the social and ethical responsibilities involved in managing sports organizations and events.
